Process Is Important Than Results!!
Education is about learning certain skill sets which enables to sketch one’s life and live it in a desired manner. Marks obtained in the subjects that we learn in the classroom are trivial as against the skills one needs to develop while learning these subjects. Our world is competitive in nature and unfortunately the spotlight has always been on HOW MUCH and not on HOW! The effort on how we perceive this requires a paradigm shift to a process-oriented learning than the results. An out of the box teaching approach allows students to explore skills like decision making, being solution oriented, developing leadership qualities and accepting different perspectives. The most enthusiastic and formative phase for students is school life where young adults are in action. Learning at school should be a joy to explore and each day should be made interesting and exciting. All these scenarios can be brought into reality through meticulous planning followed by precise and concise execution. At our school, deep thought is placed into planning each day and we firmly believe in the philosophy ‘Plan, Target and Achieve’.
“I never teach my pupils, I only provide the conditions in which they can learn.” quoted Albert Einstein. School is a wide platform where kids explore and find their potential. Varied activities throughout the day provide an opportunity to participate and broaden their learning prospects. These activities also allow kids to connect with friends and bring in a genuine smile on their faces. Learning from peers is thoroughly an enjoyable experience and adds more fun when doing it yourself; as the quote goes “Tell me and I forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I learn”. Life’s delicate and complicated lessons like teamwork, sharing is caring, accepting and recouping with failure, and nurturing relations get simplified through these actions. Abilities like being optimistic, developing proficiency and being open to new ideas subtly get expanded.
Growing up not only involves making a lot of errors but also learning from them. It instils the belief of no regrets through a positive and constructive learning process. True learning can only take place when a learner is allowed ‘how to think' and not ‘what to think'. Our school is an integral part of this learning phase and it contributes significantly in shaping a radiant personality within a child!!
