Independence Day 2020

Warm wishes to everyone on our 74th Independence Day!

The word Independence, freedom brings a lot of energy and patriotic spirit in us. Today while we see freedom from a spectrum of the corona pandemic, everyone feels confined inside their own boundaries. But to look at it positively, we have all received our fair share of constructive time for ourselves and for our near and dear ones. I am sure each one of us has peeped into their mind during this free time and realized so many things that could be done differently. We always believed that luxury was the rare, the expensive, the exclusive, and everything that seemed beyond our reach. But now, we have realized that luxury was those small little things that we did not know how to value; and now that they are gone, we miss them so dearly. Luxury is being healthy and not stepping into a hospital. Luxury is going out on the streets and breathing without wearing a mask. Luxury is meeting our family and friends with no restrictions. Luxuries are our looks, smiles, hugs! Luxury is enjoying every sunrise; it’s the privilege of living and being alive. This is luxury and we did not realize it.

But hang on; it’s never too late…

As we complete one more year of our national freedom, let us value what we have, and use this freedom responsibly. Responsibility in terms of maintaining hygiene, taking care of our health and people around us, co-exist with the beautiful environment without harming it; giving time to you and your family. The national lockdown has taught us survival skills right from cleaning to cooking and engaging ourselves into activities that always took a back seat on our To-Do list. The appeal of Atma-Nirbhar Bharat by our Prime Minister will be successful only if we all act responsibly. Let us not take things for granted and try to contribute towards a healthy nation in our own small ways. On this day of Independence, set yourself free from the negativity and value all those small little joys to live a happy and content life.

Once again, I wish you all a very happy Independence Day and a healthy and safe time ahead!

Jai Hind!
